Cathi Gaya   Colorado Health Connections is proud to announce that one of our most valued nurses, Cathi Gaya, has received Wound Care Certification. Cathi was born in Kentucky and has lived in California and Minnesota, attending Bemidji State University where she earned her degree in nursing. In her determined and caring way, Cathi chose the field of skilled home health care delivery and has worked with all ages of patients over the past 13 years. She is currently focusing primarily on senior care and brings a wide knowledge base to the many facets of the art of nursing. Over the past 10 years, Cathi has found and embraced a great passion in the treatment of wound care patients, resulting in extremely effective treatment methods and praise from her patients, employers, co-workers, physicians and clinicians.             Her ability to understand and envelop the care of the patient has built invaluable relationships both personally and professionally. Her friendly demeanor, professional manner and trusting attitude wins the hearts of patients in her care and allows them autonomy in options for treatment planning and implementation. Compliance, in the treatment of wounds especially for seniors, is one of the most difficult challenges. Cathi manages this aspect of treatment with knowledge, education, respect and support, delivering exceptional results. She enhances out coordination of care with excellent communication, multidisciplinary inclusion and physician contact.
