Assess that the choice/caloric dietary intake is adequate and appropriate to promote healing and compliance related to diagnosis process:
- Renal diet
- Cardiac diet
- Diabetic diet
- Wellness diet
- High protein (Aid Healing)
- Fluid restrictions
- Salt restrictions
- High fiber diet
- Bland diet
- Tube feedings; PEG, gastronomy
- TPN - Total parenteral nutrition
- Supplements to enhance dietary intake, not to replace

Certified nursing assistant:
- ADL (Activities of Daily Living) bathing, showering, skin, hair, wound care treatments, transfer assistants, vital signs - call if outside established perimeters
- Delegated task: catheter care, wound care
- Reports directly to case manager, RN
- Supervised every two weeks
- Light housekeeping
- Meal preparation
