Assess that the choice/caloric dietary intake is adequate and appropriate to promote healing and compliance related to diagnosis process:

  • Renal diet
  • Cardiac diet
  • Diabetic diet
  • Wellness diet
  • High protein (Aid Healing)
  • Fluid restrictions
  • Salt restrictions
  • High fiber diet
  • Bland diet
  • Tube feedings; PEG, gastronomy
  • TPN - Total parenteral nutrition
  • Supplements to enhance dietary intake, not to replace

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Certified nursing assistant:

  • ADL (Activities of Daily Living) bathing, showering, skin, hair, wound care treatments, transfer assistants, vital signs - call if outside established perimeters
  • Delegated task: catheter care, wound care
  • Reports directly to case manager, RN
  • Supervised every two weeks
  • Light housekeeping
  • Meal preparation
